One of the neat things about living in a small town is all of the activities that you can find centered around the square. Last Saturday we spent the afternoon downtown for "Cars on the Square". One of Scott's most favorite things to do is go to antique car shows. He dreams of the day when he can take his cars there and show them off like so many others in our area do. His truck is well on it's way so we go to get ideas. He says that the Corvette will come next...we'll see. Mamma and Papa came up for lunch and to check out the cars too. They blocked off the square and had cars everywhere, around the square and off all of the side streets in every direction. We heard later that there were around 750 antique cars there!! It was amazing. It was also HOT!! Jackson started off riding in his car but ended up in his stroller. He had on sunscreen but the sun was just blazing hot and I was afraid that he would wind up blistered. We all enjoyed the day out!
Now here is a pretty car!!! Talk about riding in style!
What??? I thought we were looking at cars, not Big Green Eggs!!!
Here is Papa and his boys
There were cars all around the square on the inside and out, down the middle of the street and then down each block all around.
They were everywhere!!!
As we were leaving the square we all thought about how much money was sitting there around the square. Scott figured on average each car was worth around $10,000. Some were worth much more and some were much less but on average he guessed that there was at least 5 million dollars worth of vintage and antique cars and trucks!!

Can You Count Um? 1...2...3...4
There he is (the little monster). Austin was our child that would smell everything. Before he would ever try any new food he would have to smell it first. If it didn't smell right-- wouldn't try it! Jackson is our child who tests everything with his tongue. Yep you read that right-- his tongue! He will put anything in his mouth. Lint off the carpet, the cracker he dropped at lunch, whatever he can find. He has now taken this to his newest achievement, pulling up. If it's you pant leg, the couch, the coffee table or a chair his little tongue comes out. His recent tongue lashing came when I was trying to get a cute picture of him standing by the column in the house. He had his paci in his mouth and I took it out (to make my mother happy) to get a cute picture and this is what happened!!
He finally quit licking and showed off his new pearly whites!! There they are in all their glory. Four big teeth!! It took him a while to get them going but now they are just jumping on in! He is growing up too fast... I already miss that gummy little grin.

Riding in Style
Check out Jackson's new ride! He was so excited when Scott pulled this little baby out of the box. He was sooo excited. He scooted across the floor as fast as that little arm would drag him (since he still won't crawl). We pushed him around the house for a minute to make sure he wouldn't try to jump ship and then we decided it was time to put this bad boy on the road!
He was so excited to be outside and had so much fun riding around the block. It was a little cool so we didn't stay out too long. Just long enough to know that he loved his new car.
Austin was there to show him how the horn worked. Every time that Austin would make it squeek, Jackson would just laugh out loud. He thought it was funny.
By the end of our trip he was waving to everyone that we passed. It was a nice evening out with the family. We are looking forward to many more walks this summer in Jackson's new ride!

Look Who's ONE!!!
Boy where has the time gone...this year has literally flown by! But I guess I am right on track! Jackson's scrapbook is a year behind! I'm doing good!
Here are a few pictures from the big day. We had some family and friends over for a little celebration. We had a cupcake theme and "Aunt" Nancy made me the greatest giant cupcake cake for Jackson to eat all on his own!
Hope you enjoy the photos

On The Road
So...we finally made it out the door and off to see Nana and Grandpa for Spring Break! Both of the boys were fine. Didn't even need to see Dr. Parmer before we left. We did wave to his office as we drove out of town! Missouri turned out to be cold and rainy most of the time while we were there. Mom and I did get in our trip to the outlets! Austin and Scott made their trip to the theater and watched Race to Witch Mountain while mom and I shopped until we dropped. Jackson was a trooper! He just waved and smiled at everyone...without a single nap...
We spent the week just relaxing. Scott and Dad did make one trip to the junk yard and found a set of seats for his old truck. I should have gotten a picture of the back of the Yukon...just imagine...two bucket seats and center console, my third row seats, all of our luggage for a family of 4, all of my outlet shopping, mom's shopping that she did before I got there, mom's clothes and an extra person riding home...I must say my wonderful husband is a packing GENIUS!
Not many pictures, just a very relaxing week!
