All Dressed in Our Sunday Best!

OK-- Austin has a shirt that says "You know you are an Auburn fan when all of your wardrobe is orange and blue!" And in our case this is true. Austin and Jackson paused to get a quick pic before going to Church on Sunday morning. Jackson is starting out right as well, those are little tigers smocked across his little outfit. I also found them matching Auburn polo's that afternoon but did not have time to take their picture before we ran out the door Sunday evening. I'll try to take a picture of them together and post it sometime soon. Everyone thought they looked so cute in their matching outfits. You would think that Austin would not want to match with a baby but I think he kinda likes it.

Waaarrr Eagle HEY!

Football season has arrived and we took the boys to Auburn to kick off the season. We headed down on Saturday morning to spend the long holiday weekend with Kerri. Everyone was dressed in Orange and Blue for the big game. Scott and Austin along with Aunt Leisa, Uncle Rick and all Rick's family headed to Jordan-Hare for the kick off! Jackson and I stayed back and hung out at Kerri's for this one...which was a good thing because Jackson slept the afternoon away and would have missed the first quarter! When we arrived Kerri had gotten the boys new Auburn shirts and Jackson got a new stroller! We decided to try it on for size. Looks like a perfect fit! Jackson would not look at the camera while laying on the floor because he was too busy watching the game that was on TV. If Scott can figure out how to get the pictures off of his phone I'll post Austin rolling Toomer's Corner for the first time. He thought that was GREAT!! Everyone had a blast at the game and Auburn kicked off their season with a win! Go Tigers!!

That's How We Roll.....

Well... that is how we are trying to roll. It's just that our big belly keeps getting in the way! I know how he feels--HA! Jackson will get his rolly polly leg thrown over and then he gets about half way over and then gravity pulls that little body back down to the ground. Tonight with a little help from Daddy he was able to roll over a time or two-- grunting all the way. When he finally got to his tummy he would let out the biggest sigh like that was a lot of work!

Keep checking back for updates on our rolling progress... also check back next week for pictures from Jackson's first trip to Auburn. We are going to see Kerri this weekend and Scott and Austin are going to the game. Jackson and I are going to sit this one out. Have a happy Labor Day!

Cereal Anyone???

Jackson got his first taste of cereal tonight-- yum! He was not that excited in the beginning but had the hang of it to the end. He is growing and changing every day. Austin thought it was so funny watching him eat. He sat and took pictures for me while Jackson got cereal all over him-- I even think we had some up our nose!!!

Four Months Old Today!!!

Boy-- How time flies!! Four months have already gone by and it just seems like yesterday we couldn't wait for you to arrive. Summer is over and Austin is back in school. Jackson is changing every day. We took him to Gil Brady Photography yesterday to have his first formal portrait made. He was such a good boy-- I am afraid that I am going to have a hard time deciding which ones to buy! We will go to see Dr. Parmer tomorrow for our four month check up. We'll see how much we have gained and see how much longer we have grown. Jackson is learning to do new things everyday. He is learning how to grab onto toys and put them in his mouth-- everything goes to his mouth! Last night at dinner, after he tried to put Scott's napkin in his mouth he went on to try to get the place mat and then went on to try for his plate! We are all having so much fun. Austin likes to get Jackson up when he gets up for school and talk to him while I am fixing Jackson's bottle. Austin is so good to play with him and talk to him and Jackson things that Austin is the funniest thing around.

We'll be sure to post the stats tomorrow from our visit with Dr. Parmer!

New Toys!!!

Last night while Scott and Austin went to Cave Springs Cave, Jackson and I spent a little time shopping! He's still young.. can't tell me "No...please don't make me go!" We found this new little toy... his name is Petey the Peacock. I wish you could have heard him try to talk to his new toy. He was really trying to have a big conversation with him. He wants to talk soooo bad! I have a feeling his is going to be like Austin.. learn to talk early and then he won't ever be quiet!
We also pulled down Austin's Exersaucer.. he doesn't quite know what to do with it just yet but I think before long he will be spinning around and bouncing up and down!!! We are going to get our 4 month portrait made in the morning and then we go for our 4 month check up on Wednesday. Stay tuned for the 4 month stats! Scott said he thinks he weighs 22 lbs. We'll just have to see.

Fourth Grade Here I Come!!!

Austin had his backpack loaded down and was ready to go! Today he is starting Fourth Grade at Athens Bible School. He is excited to see his friends but doesn't care anything about having homework again!! He is also back into the swing of Cub Scouts. They are going on Saturday to Wheeler Wildlife Refuge to the Bat Cave for a "Clean and Learn" activity. They are going to spend time cleaning up around the park and then watch the grey bats fly out of the cave at dusk. They say there are hundreds of bats that come out in the evenings. He is really excited.

A Day at Spring Park

Today we spent the day with family at Spring Park in Tuscumbia, AL. We met Mama and Papa and Uncle Jeff, Aunt Ann, Julie and Chris at the park to ride the roller coaster, the carousel and the train. Austin was so excited that Jackson was going on his first train ride. It turned out to be a beautiful day.. not too hot for August in Alabama. The kids had fun just playing and riding the rides. They even put their little toes in the cold water for a refreshing little break.
