Home Again!!!

Well our two week vacation came to an end yesterday and I have to say it's good to be home!! Jackson was a trooper on our little getaway! He rode well most days, has developed a severe dislike for changing tables in public bathrooms, feels the need to eat off of everyone's plate and will sleep almost anywhere!

I have several pictures to download that are taking a back seat to all of the loads of laundry left to be done. Scott is out trying to get the lawnmower running so he can mow the yard. Austin is enjoying being by himself for a change. He has been downstairs most of the day and not made a sound. Jackson just woke up from a 4 hour nap and I am trying to remember how to cook. Two weeks without having to be in a kitchen was nice but I am ready to eat a meal at home!

Austin and I have to hit the ground running next week and get him ready to start back to school! Supplies need to be bought and clothes need to be taken care of.

No time to rest, got to get some things done!

Four Wheelin' on the Fourth

We spent Friday afternoon at Mama and Papa's for the 4th of July. The kids played outside and rode the 4 wheelers and go kart and enjoyed the beautiful summer afternoon. We had a wonderful meal of pulled pork and ribs and all the fixins and Mama made some home made ice cream. Scott and Jeff spent the day working putting up a new storm door and installing a new microwave for Mama.

Here are a few pictures from the day!

Austin sportin' his new helmet. He's ready to ride

Started out on the go kart with a warning that if we caught them racing we'd yank them off so fast their heads would spin!!

Jackson even got in on a little of the action and rode around with Papa for a while. He was having a blast. He would just laugh and smile every time they drove past us.

Austin finally graduated up to the 4 wheeler and did pretty good. I think he likes riding his go kart better, which is fine with me.

By the end of the day Jackson was in his favorite 4 wheeler-- the cooler. He enjoys riding around the driveway in the big blue cooler best of all!!!
